I LOVE MUSIC;
I love when a track covers you, surrounds you, isolates you, seeps into your bloodstream, and its rhythm becomes the beat you breathe.
I love when you listen to a track and feel validated, when it brings a smile to your face, when there's filth that makes you blush while you sit alone in a crowded room.
I love a bass line that makes your heart race.
I live for that anticipation and excitement before the build-up and the most exquisite hype ever.I live for the thrill of that drop... Ecstasy... Bliss... Heaven... An orgasm... It represents everything good in my world.
And then the track is done.
... And then the sound is silence...
And you're so much more of the person you were before you discovered it.
But even to say all that, to say I LOVE music, is an understatement.
Because how it makes me feel, is a sense of being transported outside and away from everything in life that seems to matter at the time & taken to a truer, a more real place. A feeling so rare and so fleeting, that when it comes and goes, I'm left in the wake knowing only its absence & wanting… Always wanting more.
To say I AM A MUSIC JUNKIE is closer to the truth.
