Ascended Threads is Fluorescent Wear for the Fun-gineer! Bright and black light reactive styles are made to be ergo-dynamic – to move, play, and dance in. Utility and comfort are priority. Brilliant colors splash across the apparel and flowing lines trace the body.

Most of the apparel is 100% eco-friendly hemp, bamboo and organic cotton fabrics. Garments are hand-dyed with low-impact fiber-reactive dyes. . Scraps are recycled and ultimate impact on the earth is minimized.
Ascended Threads began in 2009 in response to interest in designer and owner Amy De Lira's handmade costumes. The line began as custom design apparel, made-to-measure for the client. Custom design continues to be an integral part of Ascended Threads.

De Lira began sewing ten years ago, studying under a dressmaker in Chicago, IL. She continued to practice and study over time. Upon relocating to Asheville, NC in 2007, she built her own studio, taught herself pattern making, and began crafting her dream line of clothing. One that fluoresces under black light and radiates colors at day. Dance and yoga apparel that excites, ignites, and inspires.

Ascended Threads now sells ready-to-wear clothing for men and women. The garb is available at AscendedThreads.etsy.com and at summer festivals in the southeast and midwest.
