View allLondon-based artist Lottie Child discusses Street Training, a project to develop a set of skills for urban survival in the 21st century. Events are open to the public and by meeting in urban settings, so-called ‘street trainers’ develop people’s awareness of the effects their thoughts and behaviour have on their surroundings and devise new strategies for a more socially-aware occupation of the urban environment. Child proposes that by exploring the potential of our considered and instinctive behaviours together we can reshape our environments, reconnect and have more agency in the world we live in.
