Born in 1974, Linked to music since very young (guitar-piano-music theory), in 1987 he discovered electronic music, step by step. For over 20 years, UFO has performed in Europe. Teacher in the electronic music in the company Art & Technik composer in different labels. In addition to his mysterious name UFO, he frequently uses a few pseudonyms, and some might know him under the name of TARGARET MATCHER WITH ARMANDO MARTINS, name under which they produce recently “HTA” signed on AUDIOKRAFT records, a label from the north of France, in the Lille region.
He also organised some parties at Le Nouveau Casino, in paris, with his crew MINIMAL1ST (JAMES BACON - UFO), which allowed him to share the turntables with ALEXI DELANO, AMBIVALENT, PIKAYA, JAMES WHAT - DAN BERKSON…
UFO is studying Sound Engineering, which naturally led him to producing, but again everything is kind of secret with some tracks and remixes that he keeps locked for himself, for now…
To understand his music and how it sounds, we have to look a few years backward.
It’s at the end of the 80’s, along with electronic music, that his first turntable experience see the light. At this time, the only techno movement is the rave party movement. He organizes some in the region or Lille in the mid 90’s and we understand better with this kind of culture how he built the image of UFO, with his productions and of course the mix which is an techno one, groove, dark and gloomy, very underground and very well organised and mastered.
