About
Arran Arctic (a.k.a. Arran Southall) is a D.I.Y. musician and artist who has been independently producing and releasing music for almost two decades. When he’s not recording in his home studio, he’s doodling, knitting and generally being creative in any way possible!
Arctic’s musical canon weaves elements together from the folk, pop and electronica genres, featuring a variety of individually layered instruments. Drawing inspiration from artists such as PJ Harvey, King Creosote and Patrick Wolf, every Arran Arctic release endeavours to offer something fresh.
Arran’s music has been described as “thought-provoking”, “engaging” and “spellbinding” by sources as varied as Glasgow’s Daily Record, Song, By Toad and Jim Gellatly.
In equal measures intimate, eerie and touching, follow Arran Arctic wherever creative Northern winds may take him!

This is a great tune Steven, really nice mood throughout. Those vibes are fantastic!
There's a great drive behind this track. That's an awesome rhythm section you've got there.
@Vitamin band: Thanks so much guys, great description of the track :)
That's a great set of pipes you've got there ;)
Your guitar sounds lovely, those nylon strings really work with your voice :)
That honky tonk piano sounds fantastic John (not to mention your pipes)! :)
@behindthelock: Thank you kindly ;)
Love that piano intro. And hurrah for knitting needles! :)
@BeldinaO: Uh oh spaghettios. After working in an office in front of a PC for 3+ years I'm pretty sure I've become dyslexic. Thankfully my ears still work! Sorry Beldina ;)
Great harmonies Belinda :)
That delayed dream pop guitar sounds fantastic!
Great beats man, really itchy, reminds me of Chemical Brothers a bit :)
@youhighbro: Thanks dude. I'm afraid I've not been high for ages, but I'll let you know how I get on :D
@andrewjokthomson: Thanks Andrew, I worked on the intertwining guitars a lot here. Cheers ;)

Nice track man. The beats are really crisp. Very nice.
Thanks for sharing this with me. It's really just my taste :)
@Before August: Thanks man. For someone who often suffers from "audition throat" and stage fright, that's very helpful to know :)
