@Aerian: thanks for the nice comments. yeah there actually are a bunch of panned hihats which are a little subtle just for some rhythm, perhaps too subtle... lol. There's also another ride that kicks in a little later in the peak too.

@Aerian: thanks man, that's the center-piece of the track thus the breakdown is a little 'extended' so the string remains purely acoustic.

the breakdown is a bit too long but all elements are superb. Great lead synth. This is a superb piece of trance already. Perhaps work a bit more on the mixdown and the percussion (add exra hihat loops left and right for example to get that little extra drive during main section). This is signable material mate.
