View allMusical and visual interpretation of this iconic work of art. I tried to express the almost peaceful atmosphere and unearthy stillness of this piece while also trying to evoke that feeling of uncomforting mystery that surrounds this scene.

@Stephan Beneking: Thank you very much Stephan. This means a lot coming from you. It's one of the most mysterious and iconic works of the 19th century for sure. It's has a very unsettling atmosphere emphasised by that magnificent gold-ish lightning. You should do a piece on this work.. You'd do a much better job than me. :)

Arno, Böcklin´s Toteninsel is my favorite picture, I always planned to write a piece for it as well. In fact I have a copy of it here at home. So I really enjoyed your musical picture, which I think fits very well, caught the dark and mysterious atmosphere of this picture! Thanks for sharing, favorited!

@Christos Sakellaridis: Thank you! That was exactly what I was going for- to create that similar feeling of uneasyness as in the painting.

I like the detuning of the sound,it gives the feeling of disintegration.
