View allSince this song is a waltz of sorts, it brought me back a ways to my childhood piano lessons. They have you play these duets with the teachers that are waltzes and really simple and since there are 4 hands on the piano, someone is usually playing these really twinkly high note scales over a simple bass and triad. Must have done like 50 like that when I was first learning. So for some reason that's the only way I could hear the waltz in my head. I ended up adding more instrumentation, but originally I was just going to stick with the two pianos. Doubled the vocals because I didn't know what else to do, and thought it might sound more "pleading". Reverby Accordian makes another appearance. Sorry about the weird synth coming and going, it was just something that ended up in the render and I left because my computer was taking too long to process the tune.

@SuperSuz: The two slightly off voices with the little bits of off kilter keys makes for a low brow carny sound that is just lovely.

Here, especially, the double vocals are excellent.

Wow. It's giving me a feeling of nostalgia without me knowing what it's connecting to. Great job, man.
