View allWell, this one was kind of a pain in the arse. I listened to the opening bassline for the original Beck Song, and it kind of sounded like a inverted version of the Sweet Child of Mine Riff, so I thought maybe I would see if I could figure out sampling. It was kind of miserable, as I don't know how to stretch clips, and it appears that nobody used to play with a metronone, so time signatures fluctuate quite a bit. So some of it sounds pretty sloppy with the cutting and pasting. oh well, I am sick of messing with it, BUT i have alot of respect for sample artists like Girl Talk now, it's definitely real musicianship and quite difficult. Also, I had been listening to that Ariel Pink album quite a bit, I like how each song sounds as if your flipping through some old radio stations and just catching bits and pieces of a melody here and there. The synth stuff at the end and the way things kind of switch up are partly influenced by that. By the way...just because I finished mine quickly doesn't mean you have to. I am working on other stuff too and wanted to get these out of the way...
Word.

@armorie: Yeah, something about this bit reminds me strongly of Disintegration.
