Just wanted a presence at the great community known as Soundcloud.
I've uploaded all the songs from the "Boy Will Sing For Directions Home" album and the "I Am A Volcano" EP here for free listening. I've grown so much since writing, recording and producing them, and I'm very eager to start on something completely fresh and new. Something born out of all the experience I've gained during the time that has passed since. Some of the songs on the BWSFD album were written several years ago. Before I had a clue about what I *really* wanted to do or what I was hoping to accomplish with and through my music. All I knew was that I really enjoyed what I was doing, and it lead me on a great adventure through the world of music, its industry, its venues and its people. For that I am very grateful.
Further down the road, I can come back to this page and listen to the songs that marked the beginning of my journey, and show tribute to what I tried to accomplish then. My intent was true and honest, and I will be proud of what I accomplished. Not be judgemental. Dismiss the critic, and just allow myself to listen to what I made, and respect it for what it was.
I haven't decided yet if I want my new venture to go under the Armand Mirpour name. Perhaps I'll use a completely new handle. Allow myself a complete reset. We'll see down the line. Until then, I hope you enjoy the songs you find on this page. New and old. Oh, and If you're into electro, check out my new band DUBS aka "Det Urbana Barnets Sorg". It's electronica based, with pop vocals in Swedish. Mostly about how so many feel empty and poor (at heart) amongst all the "riches" and activities that a European capital can offer.
