About
Born and raised in Merseyside, Armack (aka Rob McBride) has been DJing in bars and clubs throughout the UK for the last 10 years. Originally a classically trained pianist, Armack quickly realised his real love lied with electronic music when he was introduced to the northwest superclubs of Cream and Sankeys in the late 90s.
Armack is a talented DJ and producer who is renowned for adapting the style and tempo of his music to the specific audience he plays to. Taking many of his musical inspirations from the likes of Sven Vath, Umek and Tiga, Armack can be found playing anything from deep/chilled house to dirty tech house and electro riffs.
Summer 2011 saw Armack host nights in London and Ibiza – most notably, he recently played at the Official Cream Amnesia Pre-party in Ibiza and in December 2011 at Cable, London. Now using the latest forms of digital technology - Traktor Pro S4 and Ableton Live - Armack's sets are always adventurous, making use of live loops, samplers and effects.
In Winter 2011, Armack made a return to the studio and Spring/Summer 2012 will see the release of some much anticipated productions, collaborations and remixes.
To coincide with these releases, Armack has launched a new deep/tech house night - #CutTheMustard (www.cutthemustard.info) - running monthly at the uber-cool Corbet Place, London. #CutTheMustard, with its ever-increasing fanbase, is fast-becoming the elite showcase of underground house music in East London.
In Summer 2012 Armack will embark on a global tour throughout Europe, Asia and Australasia, so be sure to keep up-to-date with this page for details on gigs.
