Took my first step towards turning audio samples into music in September 2010 using Logic Express 9. Soon enough I was looking into renting midi controllers and started off with the Vestax VCI-300 running on Serato Itch. After deciding this wasn't the right controller to buy I went without a controller and strictly used the Traktor Pro keyboard mapping. After working with this setup long enough to get to know the software I started looking into purchasing hardware in the Spring of 2011 and waited for my summer job to start investing in some much anticipated hardware!

A special thank you goes to the representative I talked to from Axemusic.com who convinced me to take the step towards Native Instruments rather than Numark (I had seriously considered getting a Numark NS6). I highly recommend any Native Instruments products, the quality and control is exceptional!
