Props for having taste in dubstep that at least has some raunchy dsp going on in the percs. It's a genre that will never get me excited, though. It's almost like muzack, but sweet. I want it playing in the elevator you have to take to get to the zen garden in my spacestation, but not at my party.

Like this. This is pretty tight. I just wish that wompy bass would stay the hell away from my mindfuck.

This is cool. Which track is this?

      2. Arkady on November 17, 2009 05:37

@tilgovi: Hecq's "Dfrm" cut into the Boxcutter remix of "Kitchen Sink."

Oh my god. This track frustrates the hell out of me. Silly, clockwork music.

That last track sounded a lot like ocelot. I think the Russians just stepped in to save us from that shit.

      2. Arkady on November 17, 2009 05:39

@tilgovi: Nope, Para Halu's "Spirit of the Wind"

@tilgovi: Maybe I was wrong? Is this the back-to-back Para Halu?

Ah yes. I think I was right the second time. This must be the ocelot. Same damn gating rhythm he's used on the last half dozen tracks I've heard from him.

Ok. I think I'm on track now. The aux percussion sounds like Atriohm.

      2. tilgovi on November 17, 2009 04:55

@tilgovi: One of my favorite producers, by the way. The most psychedelic synth interleaving I've yet to find.

      3. tilgovi on November 17, 2009 04:55

@tilgovi: Also always groovy, but still dark. It's incredible.

Just listen to it! It's beautiful! There isn't one annoying arp. The snare rolls are groovy, the atmosphere is sighing like a sleeping giant, and the low-mids crunch with the best of them.

This works. That's how you do you a slow psy bass transition, for sure. Just let it roll in, like a distant storm.

Nope; that's just Daten Raten. I'm not sure of which sound you're referring to specifically but it's either that or a little bit of ambient weirdness in the Hubble Re-edit.

His gallery of dissociative lightmares and technodramas will be showing from October 2nd to November 1st in Los Angeles at the Fifty 50 Grind space. Shvl Fce's progressive style is technically exact and evokes a sense of mysticism whi...
