About

Ari (b. 1993) is an award winning composer, pianist, conductor, and arranger who has had his music performed in many venues throughout both the Philadelphia and Boston areas.
In the spring of 2012, Ari received the American Composers Forum: Philadelphia Chapter Youth Composers Scholarship, as well as the Harry and Martha Stern Fine Arts Memorial Award, an award given to a senior in his High School who plans to study music as a vocation or avocation.
Ari has been very involved musically within his life. Besides composing, Ari enjoys film scores, musical theater, choral music, acappella, as well as middle-eastern and Israeli music. In addition to having musically directed and and played piano for theatre, Ari has played piano for many events, gigs, and concerts throughout the Philadelphia area.
Ari has studied piano with Joel Rothstein and Ellen Bildersee, and composition with Curtis Institute of Music professor Daniel Shapiro. After graduating High School from the Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, PA., Ari entered the New England Conservatory of Music where he currently studies composition with Michael Gandolfi.
