It's here. The "Cómemian Acid" album that serves as an homage to the amazing label that is Cómeme, but this time, in the style of the mighty and inmortal analog machines made by Roland Corp. : The TB-303, The TR-808, and the TR-909. These plastic boxes deliver intense energy to the dancefloor, and in the process, using samples that have been in circulation since the 80's. So this is like a blast from the past....
The whole idea of this album is to offer an experience, a mechanical one, of traveling into the depths of Cómemia, a world that lives by the influences of the label. Cómemia is like a big futuristic city, where places of wealth and luxury (Europe), mix with other places more humble and traditional (Latin America). This combination of roots gives the city a unique concept, where nightclubs blend the new with the old, and dancing the night away become an special ritual.
But beware, all reworks here are drenched in....ACID! Expect every single sound that the TB-303 is capable of, and sometimes you'll hear not two, but three or even FOUR machines sounding at the same time. The distortion boxes provide agressive tones, and the delay pedals give the machines a psychedelic sound. All mixed with the sharp hi-hats, and the monster kick-drums of the 808 and the 909.
Welcome to Cómemia. Enjoy The Ride.
