About
All,
I love music - it's just as simple as that. I'm not collecting followers or in any kind of popularity contest. I do, however, deeply appreciate it when I'm being followed, and hope it's because the follower enjoys my music rather than hoping to collect me as a follower on their site.
The 80 or so people I do follow are especially meaningful to me. They are my friends and collaborators, or produce music that intrigues me and helps me improve my own work. Not everyone is going to like the work I produce, but I promise that among those I follow, there is a wide, diverse, and beautiful collection of music. I'm honored to introduce you to them if you aren't already aware of their gifts.
I've decided to disable comments, stats, widgets and downloads just because my priorities are changing with respect to the music I produce. If you hear something of mine that is sufficiently moving, or want me to listen to something of yours that you are particularly proud of, please find me on Facebook and just post your tune as status, or drop a note through PM or on my wall. Between SoundCloud, Emeraz, Bandcamp, and other sites, it's just become far too much for me to manage - so I'm trying to focus on the conversation that occurs on Facebook.
Thanks to everyone out there who keep music alive and well in our cultures.
David
