With her releases on Permanent Damage Records, Hood Famous and Sex Panda White labels gaining support from the likes of Tiesto, Kaskade, Bassbin Twins, The Prodigy's Maxim, and Bassnectar, April has quickly risen the ranks of tastemakers in music.
Her latest release on Permanent Damage Records, "Never Be the Same," By April White by AprilWhite features everything from massive dubstep and electro house to electro pop. "Those wobbles are raw, and April's voice sounds fantastic," says DJ Colatron. "This is the kind of sound that La Roux can only dream of with her 'step producing mates."
April's poetically mysterious lyrics and whispered-sung vocals are also featured on a danielle nicole tech house track, "Take Me There," which is out now on Fantastic Friends Rec.;
Her last release feat. MING is a satirical(?) electro-punk party anthem that Tiesto and Kaskade included in their DJ sets. Bassnectar called it “the jaaaammmmmmmmmmm!!!!!”
In addition to working on a handful of diverse releases that she plans to drop over the next few months, April is also a member of the new indie electropop trio, tiny machines, and a cinematic downtempo duo called MagicBoys.
April is also the Music Director and Co-Host of “The Skinny,” a monthly live political theater comedy show in NYC's East Village modeled after “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” where she acts as the DJ-Sidekick to NYC’s stand-up comedian and humorist, Peter DeGiglio.
