I'm an old man... A Devo App! A Devo Synth, better... Great! When I bought this App, last week, I was a little bit excited, so I tried it immediately... telling myself that I will post the review the next day... and you didn't see it go by... When I launched DevoSynth, I was really happy to see that this App was very, very well done... The UI is beautiful, a whole lot of buttons... Great! It seems that I can create a Robot... No,one billion Robots... There are so many shapes... Amazing... I can take a picture to change the wallpaper, I can add text... Great, but still no sound.., There is a green button on the screen, I tried it, and was toggled into Keyboard mode... There is the same column of buttons on the right hand side of the screen, but, now, a big x/y pad is in the centre... Ok, the 18 buttons play loops. One Tap = One Shot / Two Taps = Infinity loop / Three Taps = Stop. The sample quality is really good. By dragging my finger on the Pad, I shape the sound and pitch the sample (each independently). Fun... I can record a sound by using the built in microphone... Normal... No possibility to record my session at the moment, but it seems that it will be added soon... So, 2 minutes later, I was back to the first screen, and its profusion of features and asking myself if I hadn't missed some features in the synth section.. Perhaps that my Robot can control my keyboard... (you can buy so many Robots in the Store). I decided to quit the App, and to see all this later... Yesterday, I received an email from Werner, one of our World Friends. He talked to me about the Devo Synth... So, I decided to re open Devo Synth, ready to find this secret feature which should allow me to control the Keyboard... And still I didn't... In fact Devo Synth is really powerful and fun, but not for its musical side... A Must Have for old people like me!
