Here's the 2nd submission for DJ Alley P!
This mix is called "Around The World in 80 Minutes". I made this mix to sort of track the evolution of House music through the years and show it's roots - and where it might be going!
Starting in Chicago - the birthplace of house music with one of the hottest classics: "Can You Feel It" and then progressing to New York, England, Scandinavia, then bringing it back to the DISCO ROOTS for a quick minute with the undeniably sexy track "Ai No Corrida" by Quincy Jones; moving back on track with some Daft Punk - and then we get to see how popular music is "borrowing" from house music with Kanye's "Harder Better Faster Stronger"; progressing to France, to Brazil, to Africa, to Jamaica, then back to NYC for some Cuban and Puerto Rican influences from the master - Mr. V. I wrapped up the mix with one of my favorite house tracks - a beautiful Gospel House wonder: "Never Give Up" by Peyton & The Rhythm Republic.
