About
Since 2003, the dance scene exploded into nightclubs around Jakarta, Indonesia. As the dance scenes growth bigger, Jakarta itself is known as top destination for everyone who fond of nightlife. With the growth of the scenes, it attracted many young people to be a part of the scenes, partly to become a DJ, so did Anzamarch. While he went back to Indonesia on 2005, he joined a community whose are big fans of Trance and progressive music. With his basic experience as a drummer, just within a short period of time, he managed himself to be considered as a good DJ. In 2005, Anzamarch started to put more efforts in this dance music industry. Anzamarch is on the right path to establishing himself in Seattle’s modern dance music community. He debuted as a guest DJ in front of hundreds of Indonesian “party-goers” at one of Seattle's premier nightclub, IBIZA, late 2005. With an arsenal of only 2 weeks practice from his Numark turntable and a strong inspiration brought on by trance master, Paul Van Dyk, while performing at the event March took center stage with a breath taking Progressive Trance mix that resulted in offers to play at several different Indonesian parties around Seattle. In 2007, March took a break and returned to Indonesia to pursue his love for music professionally. Jakarta’s high appreciation of Progressive Trance music gave him a wide access to the industry. March quickly mingled himself among Jakarta’s most famous progressive trance DJs where he listened and learned. During his stay in Jakarta, the name ANZAMARCH had become a household name among those involved in the night scene. Since then, he often comes back and forth (Indonesia-Seattle) partly to perform around, to develop his career and also to be known by people. Of 2009 is a break out year for this talented, up and coming DJ, Anzamarch. Whether it was his recent success in Seattle DJ Competition hosted by Seattle’s famous DJ Flave, his performances while in Jakarta, or his involvement in the first Indonesian Production House in Seattle, JUNKO SEATTLE, which is the branch of “JUNKO” a major label in Indonesia. His reputation is not only popular among the Indonesian community but also with the locals. Last Supper Club, Countour, Club Motor, Vela lounge and Tiki Bob’s are a few on the list of local nightclubs that March has played in the past years. The path of his DJ career has taken him not only to some of the famous Clubs around Jakarta, Indonesia but also to Seattle Clubs. When Anzamarch and a few fellow collaborators recorded his second track under the name “should I stay”, when this track released, he received many positive feedback. That was also one of the many reason why his DJ’ing career rapidly developed. The path of his career has even scored him performing with Wippenberg in X2 club Jakarta, Indonesia back at 2009. Today, with JUNKO, March hoped to set a new benchmark for Progressive Trance in Seattle. “I want people to feel the power of Progressive Trance. Its more than just the uplifting beat, you have to gaze behind the lyrics and see between the songs. This music will not only move your body and but it will also move your heart”. However in order to offer a taste of Anzamarch set to the masses, he expands his genre to House, Nu Disco and new wave. For certain events, he mixed over variety of tracks, from Kaskade, Calvin Harris to Aeroplane. For him it’s a challenge to be mastered, it’s another experience along the journey and also it does broaden his music knowledge. At the young age of 22, Anzamarch has quite a following of fans, but he’s only just getting started. Anzamarch plays music that not only moves the crowd but also creates memorable moments. Those are moments that leave you wanting more.
