Born in 1976 and raised in Malaga, Antonio Escobar moved to Madrid in 2002 where he began to work as the chief composer, producer and mixer for the advertising department of ASK – former one of Spain’s top 5 music studios, triplicating its advertising production in just 3 years. His showreel features advertisements for many important brands including Renault, Peugeot, Ford, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Carlsberg, Larios, Cajamadrid, Endesa, Movistar and Amena. Antonio’s creativity has been awarded at the San Sebastian Festival, APPE awards and the New York Festival, amongst others.

In 2004, he established his own company, Antipop, to maximize his music productivity within the advertising industry and to produce recordings for new artistes. He also composes film soundtracks, makes remixes, writes articles for music websites, gives talks at conferences, and develops his artiste projects Maydrïm and Nieva.

Some of his most outstanding characteristics are the ability to embrace any kind of style, an imaginative approach to production, attention to detail and continuous linkage with today’s most innovative music.
