Antid0te

It looks like 2012 will be the year that the antidote is supplied. Having established his own unique style with a hybrid of melodic synths, catchy hooks and warm basslines, his productions take you on a musical journey of emotions.
Born and raised in Adelaide (Australia), a love for music, sport and video games saw him start collecting vinyls and video games at an early age. Inspired by many different artists and genres, curiosity got the better of him so he started exploring how the music he loved, was made.
At the age of 16 after his parents refused to fix their family vinyl player, he decided to purchase some turntables and a mixer, and as they say, the rest is history. Suddenly sampling drum loops and synths off vinly became a hobby and in no time he made the progression into Djing.
After djing in some of his local clubs by the age of 20, it was in the studio where he felt most comfortable able to express what he felt through his music and hence the antidote moniker was born. The name came about due to some of the 'audio poison' he was hearing in his local scene. He was passionate about delivering a product to counteract this... The 'Antid0te' arrived.
Having studied various music courses for two years he built up the knowledge he needed to produce. He armed his Mac based studio with all the necessary ammunition including his trusty Akai Mpk49 and got to work. Having travelled around Europe mid 2010, his musical eyes opened right up and now lives by the term “if it sounds good, it is good”.
With his first major release in March 2011 on Point Blank Records and a series of remixes and originals lined up to follow by the middle of the year, Antid0te is one producer to keep an eye and two ears out for in 2012.
