About
Working in a similar manner to Matthew Herbert, and Richard Skelton (Landings), I take raw sonic material from, and in my environment and processing further.
In this way I continue to assemble a unique sound library that forms the backbone of my music, and sonic identity.
Intentionally dirty recordings, found sound and instrumentation feature heavily, and offer textures that often layer to a dense finish.
I love the idea of my environment both informing and being part of the fabric of my music, and the contrast it creates with the surrounding electronics.
Much of this is born of introversion, a reflection of late night sessions in the near dark of the studio.
It's aimed as much at the headphone commuter or home listener as it is some kind of twisted backroom "pitch black but for strobe" basement.
It leans toward repetition, but will reward the attentive listener.
Music from the outside looking in.
