About
worship pastor by day, amateur remixer in my spare time. I absolutely love the process, it's a spiritual experience to take things apart, put things together, and see what happens right there in the moment.

@craigallen: thank you so much!!
love what you did w/theBGVs...those were so tight, I amped them too. they were too good to hide in the background, although I know usually BGVs should'nt really ever stick out
love how you panned those guitars to talk to each other, killer idea
this is TIGHT. great job, as always. voted.
@KevLarLloyd: yeah, that's actually me playing. ;)
thanks - using Derek's original melody and drawing the harmonies by hand by ear...everybody thinks I'm singing it! HA!
so this remix was literally a spiritual experience for me. I will never forget it.
gamble here...was feeling something different...major half-time gritty darkness - chorus still needs some edge in the middle
this one makes my heart get all warm and fuzzy :) great songwriting, honored to put my spin on it.
first Derek Webb remix..this is the one that started the madness..
Earbuds will probably not feel the 808.... :)
stick around for 4:22
UNCLE. ..yuck..here it is - I am just not a whiz at guitar tone -this may stay in the demo pile. wanted guitars to be huge and ugly, but all I got was noise.
love it or hate it. this was totally crazy and organic - the machine took over. especially the end.
yes, I had fun destroying the vocals on the bridge. I wanted to call it the Droid mix, but that's dorky.
needs work. having trouble with overall volume level and clipping with that gorgeous bass tone which I want to crank. ending levels too all over the place.
an artist's work is never really finished. tried to get the outro levels evened out. scream courtesy of Corey.
if you could see what I see..
great remix, man
seriously. why are you still listening to this.
@docmisterio: yeah, I see what you're saying..I'm trying to not be too predictable - I feel like I've roughed up alot of his vocals on other songs, so I don't want to over-do it. but you're right - they might could use a bit of an edge
@anothermisty: one of my 'broken' loops has a built in glitch that will require some surgery to remove..maybe on another day..the high end highlights it unfortunately
@anothermisty: lots of low frequency stuff too that doesn't come across too well on little Ipod buds
this one needs some high end work - kinda startling at first.
@johnny_ripper: thanks for the kind words
I will redo this one. oh yes. I will.
@Allen Bogen: no - not my voice. it's Derek. I used his vocal line and manipulated it to get the harmony.
@Allen Bogen: I use Logic Pro's Vocal Transformer and use Derek's melody as a base track, then I draw the pitches on the vocal line myself by ear
did I mention this is not my fave remix?..just so you know.
@periperiperi: I used Derek's original vocal to make the harmony part with a computer plug-in
