one of the soundtracks to 2011.

After ranking high on several Best-of-2011 lists including NME, The Fly, Q, Uncut, Clash and The Guardian, playing to a sold out Royal Albert Hall in October and with countless other plaudits to their name, Metronomy now turn their attention to 2012.

Having been confirmed as main support for the NME Awards Tour 2012, the quartet will join headliners Two Door Cinema Club, Tribes and the hotly tipped Azealia Banks on a string of dates across the UK concluding at London’s Brixton Academy on February 25th.

Metronomy have also announced the release of AA single ‘The Look’/’Corinne’ on February 27th through Because Music. Whilst ‘The Look’ is constructed around the kind of all-conquering synth riff that will see it become a firm favourite come summer 2012, ‘Corinne’ is a subtler beast, bubbling melodies that showcase Joe Mount and (drummer) Anna Prior’s vocals to perfection.

Backed by remixes from Camo & Krooked and upcoming West London producer Two Inch Punch, the single looks set to win over a plethora of new fans.
