Anomaly Transmission #02 | Mark Smith (Gardland)

Anomaly Transmission in conjunction with Spiral Sounds ( present a very special podcast from John Elliott under his Imaginary Softwoods title. John explains the concept and inspiration behind the mix below:

'I had the pleasure of playing the Labyrinth this year in Naeba, Japan, and the event is always inspiring and invigorating. This year was no exception, and as I am inspired by the people I have met, I decided to try incorporate them into this mix here, along with some new music I have discovered record shopping here in Tokyo. This mix is a bit of a snapshot of where I am right now in the present moment, and it feels great. Recently I've been combining abstract music with rhythmic music; whether or not the results are successful is not so important as I enjoy this and think it is interesting to find intersections for these different musics I enjoy. The track listing is as follows:

Tetsu Inoue - "Health Loop" from "World Receiver"
Petar Dundov and Greg Treshor "Duotone II"
Small Cruel Party - "...Montrant L'Envers Délicat Des Pétales" from "Islands of Sleep"
