Having recently picked up support from the legendary MK, Diynamic's Solomun and MANIK, New York-based Beckwith returns with another double dose of deep house goodness - offering two distinct flavours. Matching up the infectious deep house roller "Back To Love" with the garage-tinged shuffle of "Townsend Sling" for this latest Anjunadeep EP, Beckwith continues an impressive 2013 that has included a string of quality remixes and gigs in NYC, Toronto, Brooklyn and Miami.
A highlight of James Grant's recent "Anjunadeep 05" mix, "Back To Love" brings together a deep, growling bass with Catherine Porter's hypnotic vocal touches and classy piano melodies, before dropping into an infectious groove after a dreamy, musical breakdown. A unique take on the current deep house vibe, "Back To Love" recalls the magic of Beckwith's modern classic "Craymal" but with a darker twist.
A more bouncy groove, "Townsend Sling" takes a garage-tinged approach with shuffling beats, cut-up vocals and a bubbling bassline. Gradually layering in melodic keys and extra vocal cut-ups, "Townsend Sling" is stylish modern house groover that has attention to detail and high production values at its heart.
