About

An accomplished songwriter since her early teen years, she was initially inspired by the likes of legends Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix and fearless female frontwomen like PJ Harvey, Chrissie Hynde and Debbie Harry, as well as modern artists including Kings of Leon, The Killers, 30 Seconds to Mars and Muse.
Anita seamlessly channels her life experiences, utilizing songwriting as her therapeutic process. A brilliant lyricist, Anita turns these songs into outstanding masterpieces of blues combined with elements offolk, rock, punk and a healthy dose of soul that will undoubtedly move you. Her songs are so contagious that you’ll be humming them all day long with after just one listen.
Her debut album is produced by Dan Swift (Snow Patrol, Biffy Clyro and Kasabian) and is scheduled to be released early in 2012. She has established herself as a staple of London’s vibrant live music scene, which includes performing at City Showcase Rocklands, Guilfest, The Barfly and The Water Rats as well as recently rocking many venues across the Atlantic, including Los Angeles’ Viper Room on the infamous Sunset Strip, the Philadelphia Film and Music Festival, and thrilling Big Apple audiences at Arlene’s Grocery and a CMJ Showcase at Alphabet Lounge.
