Anish Sood is part of an emerging new breed of young artists that are sweeping the Indian dance music scene. At just 22, he’s been jet setting between playing at the biggest venues in India to leading festivals like the annual Sunburn Festival in Goa.

An in-depth understanding of crowds, dance floors and electronic music have made him one of the most sought after warmup DJs in the country having opened for David Guetta, Gareth Emery, Sultan, Funkagenda, Felix Da Housecat, Miss Nine, Norman Doray, Albin Myers and John ‘00’ Fleming amongst others.

Anish’s musical versatility can be easily proven by the fact that he can effortlessly switch between playing deep, melodic warmups to working packed main rooms with pounding progressive house, trance and techno.
His consistent sets are backed by solid technical prowess in the studio, a fact that was cemented when he churned out a winning remix for Nadia Ali’s club-hit single ‘Love Story’ which garnered support from around the world.

His debut single “Catapult” was picked up by Trance legend Marcel Woods’ label ‘Musical Madness’ and has subsequently been released on the legendary High Contrast imprint. His much in-demand edits and bootlegs are regularly hammered out by DJs across the world and add a unique element to his sets, that enable crowds to connect with the classics’ he samples.

With a host of forthcoming releases on international labels as well as a string of high profile events, Anish is set to take off in 2012.
