@Lakeesha Wilson 1: At this point EVERY Rap/Hip-Hop artist sounds the same. The same sonic paths have been tread so often that there's a gaping chasm in the genre. This song is proofing my opinion that the only primary power left in this genre is in the variance of the lyrical content. Rap at its roots is Spoken Word. Skillful poets have the ability to grab you by the guts and take you on a very visual journey, no matter how abstract the topic. Rap remains a very powerful tool for poetic wordsmiths and only falls short due to the sheer redundancy of the soundscapes created by producers that don't know ... music. The production of this song is good because it stays out of the way of the talent. Like any other group, I believe this is not an uncommon story for many young girls and women. I hope there is more diversity in the way they choose to creatively express them! This young woman is GOOD!

@Lakeesha Wilson 1: She really does not sound like Minaj. Are you comparing her to NIcki because that is the only other female rapper you listen to? Expand your horizons. Also, Minaj has never written anything as good as this.

@Lakeesha Wilson 1: really!?! that's your take away from listening to this? you listened to the lyrics, right? they're about as far from an minaj track as possible. maybe you should just stick to amy grant tunes.

I've been child abused and it's fucking shit brilliant to actually hear someone write a song about and share the utter bollocks of it
