From around about the time Freerange Records first really grabbed me by the ears! Also a time of massive personal change (for the good!) and a fresh start for me, the soundtrack of optimism!

And to tie it all together, for me one of the most consistently consistent producers of the last decade, Matt Edwards AKA Radio Slave. A good old-fashioned dirty track!

Somehow with all the off-beat and out of time elements, this track still manages to be seriously funky. It must be the bassline!

More usually an end-of-night track for me, but thought the intro and vibe of the track captured the intended sentiment of this mix perfectly!
