"FROM BRIEFS TO BOXERS"
(or a short history of Andy & The Echoes)

Andy & The Echoes is a four piece band formed on a crisp autumn evening in 2011 by singer/songwriter Andy Moors (Lead Guitar/Vocals/Piano) and Mark Dark (Bass). With a vast back catalogue of songs written and recorded by Andy, the band quickly scrapped most of them and acquired a little drummer boy in the form of Dan Bird. All was swell, but they soon noticed a spare guitar sat weeping in the corner, so Ashley Tugwell decided to cheer it up and take on the mantle of second guitarist.

Inspired by the likes of ELO, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Eric Clapton (to name a few) Andy & The Echoes take a refreshingly contemporary approach to the foundations laid down by these pioneering musicians, combining quality of songwriting, musicianship and live performance to bring about a new awakening in this increasingly contrived and digitised world of music.

All of the music featured *hear* (see what we did there) was recorded in Andy's lounge with both lack of money and knowledge (and some say talent too, mwahaha) with nothing more than hope, a Shure SM-58, Behringer C-1 Condenser Mic, Behringer Mini-Mic Pre Amp and the free audio editor Audacity...
