Inspired by William Gibson's trilogy series Cyberpunk, Android Cartel was intrigued by the books theme and wished to communicate the books ideas through future rhythms, sound design, and of course their signature big, deep grooves.
The title track Neuromancer a big nasty animal with intense vocal treatment, mechanical percussion, and a great bass line. It maintains a deep lingering for the future, and shows an exercise in sound and rhythm that will be working bodies and minds.
Count Zero is the second installment, a great track for the groovier side of techno, nothing but tripped out rhythms and mind bending, soul searching vocals. A nice 303 rift and subtle tones of futuristic sounds and percussion will send you into the abyss of cyberspace.
Mona Lisa Overdrive is a great head snapping friendly techno exploration with beautiful building bass drops, tight drum work, and haunting synths that make playful appearances, adding to the tension and over all composition. Tried and true on the dance floor, this one makes 'em move.
We sincerely hope that this EP will create and stimulate excitement and thought in your experience with our sounds.
