DJ Andres Solano with 27 years old, started at the age of 16 buying “Vinyls” by internet and lying about his age to have the opportunity to play in the first “rave parties” and clubs in Costa Rica.

He is from a humble family in CR, his father won a scholarship to become a sound engineering in Holland and London at the BBC in the 80’s. Andres grew looking him editing with scissors, tape and open wheel (the old analog way to produce audio).

With 6 years old Andres, took a microphone, some tapes, a double tape stereo and his father caught him more than one day “producing” a radio show by doing play and pause.

At the age of 17 (2001) he did the warm up for Satoshi Tommie in Costa Rica since then he never stopped. Paul Van Dyk, Hernan Catteneo, Anthony Pappa, Chris Fortier, Infusion, Tiesto, Jes are only a few names that he had been involved with since then.

With 18 yeard old he was The youngest, DJ – producer to become part of the Balance Record Pool roster, having the top international artists like DJ Colette, Danny Tenaglia, Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M, Paul Van Dyk, Peter Hook, Sultan, Steve Lawler. (Balance Record Pool closed operations a few years ago).

He is part of the DJ generation and producers having to move forward with the technology, first vinyls, then CDs, and now Ableton live and MIDI controllers. “Now I can mix more than 2 tracks at the same time with loops, vocals, effects and more! I called a live DJ performance” He said.

Music and dancing are the most humane expression of all, since it connects with our primitive past, love, sadness, passion and all those so humane feelings that are so human, all in a single universal fusion.

A promoter said once “We can place him in a lounge, a club, an open air stage, that he will now how to deal with the crowd”

At the end he only cares about love, the future not the past and make people smile, his desire, bring this message arround the world with the music.
