@Andrew Cox: seems like you may also be able to roll off the bottom end just a hair, I can hear my amps having real trouble with the sub freqs. That bass is ill though. That otta let you get a little more perceived loudness as well. It may even let the drums sit a little better after mastering. That's what I would try if this were my tune, but I could be off! If you wanna send me some stems I'll take a crack, or even a stereo mixdown. Werd.

@Thirteen: I know exactly what you're talking about, the frustrating part is that it's in the mastering process when that fighting starts happening, just raw out of Ableton they play nicely together. Once the studio is setup in Chicago I'm gonna take another mastering pass & try to get it just right. Thanks!

love the bass sound, but I think it might need a little sidechain action to help it sit with the drums. It seems like they might be fighting a bit.

'Turned out kinda fun' - definitely! Great choon! I thought it was going to go tribal at first with the intro section.

A solo melody would rock right here..otherwise it's my new favorite :-)

@Channel Surfer: Thanks Bro! Yeah you're absolutely right about the sub. We recorded it in from the EMX with the tube turned up a little hot and I just did a super quick master before getting to reign it in. That's next on the list to fix. =]

possibly add a new syncopated HH rhythm here to carry it for like 8-16 bars into the wind down ??
