@White Cape: This is pre-Dosh. That's Kevin O'Donnell on the drums. Dosh's performance style fits better with Andrew Bird's loop-heavy buildup these days, but O'Donnell was fantastically talented, recorded and live. I'm really not sure which I prefer.

I just drank a glass of milk in front of the window, it just so happens I had a no-bake cookie and wanted some milk, and it just so happens that my desk is in front of a window, and I sat here drinking my milk, and it just so happens that everything turned out just fine. I can be thankful for that. But this is a pretty safe area, and luckily we don't have to worry about it being a blustery day.

I accidentally stumbled onto this track at 11:11 on 11/11/11 after having tucked my babies in bed and for 10 minutes or so googling all these spiritual websites about what to do at 11:11 on 11/11/11, and I looked at the clock as the track was playing, no doubt probably about 11 seconds in, and thought to myself, "shoot, I was supposed to be making a wish at this moment in time." But instead of stopping, I closed my eyes and listened to the track until 11:14. I don't regret it. Even though I was already a huge diehard fan when this track came out 10 years or whatever ago, and then I was waiting for the rest of the world to wake up to the Bird. I'm glad it did. Andrew, you're a testament to me, you went through hard times after this album, I saw it at the Echo Lounge. Your bus broke down. You were almost crying on stage but you were blowing the minds of the few people in the crowd that night. And I knew you would have your day. You are freak of nature amazing. I myself am in that part of my life where my bus has broken down, and all the elements are against me. And I may not be as amazing as you are, but I know I'll have my day too. Love, Jennifer

To all of those people here who seem to think this is some new piece of music, it's a actually a song off of Andrew Bird's 2001 release, "The Swimming Hour." I just thought I'd let you know, since so many people here apparently never have heard it. Awesome song, from a great album. You should definitely go and get it if this is all new to you.

Standing on the corner
Plastic cup in her hand
Standing on the corner
Saving for some gin
You don't need to ask where she's been or what's up
She'll gladly tell you all about the life she had
Before she had the cup
Standing by the window
Glass of milk in his hand
What could I have done what could I have said
Broken glass spilled milk lying on the floor looking dead
Window pain
Cutting through the rain looks so easy
Frame by frame
Looking for a name to claim on a breezy afternoon
And the ends coming soon
So many people hold a cup
So many die drinking milk in front of a window
I once knew a woman who got in the way
Of the intentions of a windy day
Don't hold a cup in any season
Don't make me choose between rhyme or reason
Don't drink that milk in front of that window
You might as well blame it on the will that the wind chose - mark dewings
