:: BIO
Bucuresti is the stage name of Nick Mayfield. Nick was adopted from Bucharest, Romania at only a few months old by a small town family near Atlanta, Georgia. Ever since Nick was young he carried a passion for music. It wouldn't be long before he got his first guitar and quickly taught himself to play. Over the years he expanded his musical horizon by learning how to play several instruments including piano, drums, and trumpet in the school band. During his 7th grade year, Nick was asked to join the local high school marching band as he exceeded the musical ability of an average middle school student. Later that season, the football team advanced to the state semi-finals giving him the opportunity to march on the field of the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia at only 12 years old.

It wasn't until a couple of years ago that Nick started trying his hand at producing music with programs such as Logic Pro, Reason, and Ableton Live. He started out making hip-hop style beats for a friend which eventually led him on to meet veteran hip-hop producers in the Great city of Atlanta, Georgia. After learning the ropes, Nick began producing the music that he had always loved; electronic dance music. Over the last year Nick has been producing all kinds of EDM including electro-house, glitch-hop, and dubstep. He has done guitar/piano covers of his favorite dubstep/dance songs that have earned him thousands of views on Youtube and even a comment from the well known Grammy winning producer, Skrillex, on his rock style cover of "With You Friends." After taking on the stage name of Bucuresti, Nick has deejayed multiple house parties and nearby areas while taking on a reputation for turning heads and getting people out of their seats. With support from London's REDNEK, his tracks have been featured by US Dubstep and Portugal's own Punpz Music. If you have ever seen Bucuresti perform, you know that this artist never fails to get the party going no matter the circumstances.
