About
André Nascimento is an electronic musician and sound designer currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. He performs with a mixed setup of keyboards, drumpads, laptop and occasionally other instruments. Over the years he worked on soundtracks for film, theatre, new media and digital arts and has shared the stage with artists such as Maria João, Júlio Resende, Savina Yannatou, Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos, Laurie McNamee, Jamie Brooks, Kevin Flanagan and Julio d’Escrivan.
Andre is currently a member of OGRE – a project blending jazz and electronic music, with singer Maria João, João Farinha on Fender Rhodes / keyboards, pianist Júlio Resende, drummer Joel Silva and Andre Nascimento on laptop and electronic sounds. He is also part of Abelhas, an electronic trio also with Maria João and João Farinha.
