stop spamming.
- Jule Grasz on June 23, 2009 18:06
@seannash: Sorry...spamming? Ok...
-
@Jule Grasz: yes spamming, you have sent the track to a shit load of people who arent following you.this is spamming
- Jule Grasz on June 24, 2009 11:29
@seannash: It is nice that you wrote it with a comment on my track instead of sending me an email. So I answer this way. I'm sorry that I troubled you with my song, I will not do it again. However you are the only one, which felt disturbed thereby up to now. I do not upload a new song perhaps max. 1- 4 times in the month, sometimes I do not upload any track for 2-3 month, but whatever, right, it is no reason for „spamming“. If there be more people on Soundcloud who feel disturbed by me sending this song, they may forgive it me please and write me an email. I wish you a wonderful day.
-
@Jule Grasz: i upload alot of tracks to my page.people who are following me see that ive uploaded it on there dashboard.this is the way it should be.if someone wants to hear ypour music they will follow you.maybe im being harsh but this is the 6th track ive gotten in my inbox from people who im not following or have no interest in following
-
@seannash: what your doing is so inpersonal and this is what spamming is.just posting your track to as many people as possible.its as bad as posting the link on myspace to your thousands of "friends"
-
@seannash: This is what soundcloud is about Sean, sharing music with people. If you dont want to listen to something don't, is it really taking up that much space on your dashboard or in your email inbox?? If you really don't want to see updates then stop following and request kindly that they do the same. People who complain about FREE music being OPTIONALLY streamed to their computers must really hate life, and I consider your bad vibes appearing on MY dashboard to be 'spam', so I'm going to stop following you now, as I'm tired of pompous soundclouders living up their own asses. Sorry to use your track as a Forum Jule, but this shouldn't have even come to my attention.
-
@Romart: thats the thing,IM NOT FOLLOWING HIM.now do you see my point.soundcloud isnt about that.imagine if every user took this approach and decided to send there tracks out like this?the dashboard would just be full of tracks from people who your Not following.i presuming that people are only foloowing people on here because they are interested in there music and not just to get there numbers up so they can blast them with there release.but it appears this is what soundcloud is turning into.this is what happened myspace and it is just heaving with inpersonal messages that say things like"hey there check out my new track"etc etc.this is what killed myspace.be a shame to see that happen here.i cant see how you cant see this point
-
@seannash: When I up a new track I send it to all my followers and people I follow, cos I want many people to hear it. If some of those people don't want to hear it I'm sure just laying eyes on the update won't kill them, I've had no complaints in 12 months anyway. So I can 'see' your point but think it is a silly one to be raising, outside of a good humoured private message at any rate. Rather than filling other peoples dashboards with your rumblings This is a social networking site essentially and could never work in favour of one mentality, much like myspace which you claim to hate but still use... twofold... so, a hypocrite on both matters. Show some respect man, we're all (mostly)here for the same reasons, if you don't like how the cloud works then it's not the site for you, no need to make an effort to make others feel bad about what they do.
- chrisfirenze on June 24, 2009 19:28
@seannash:
imageine if every user took this approach...
I upload my stuff to all my followers and people I follow as well, and I know I'm not the only one. I've found a bunch of new artists I would otherwise never would have by listening to tracks shared with me by people I'm not following.
- Jule Grasz on June 24, 2009 19:40
@chrisfirenze: Hi Chris, thank you for your opinion, it is like mine!
-
@Jule Grasz: There's a feature now to filter out tracks sent to too many people. I like this track anyway.
- sibilant tape (FTAH) on August 20, 2009 15:41
@chrisfirenze: Listen... When you start following people and they don't follow you back, it's probably because they not are interested your music. Just because you follow some artists that you like, doesnt it mean that they gonna like your music.

@Alkalino: yeh that sound is so crunchy but not quite abrasive I dunno wot it is - digital synth or maybe a cello sample or something?

Beltram - Energy Flash

@raytrace: you know my thoughts about this tune!!!absoulutely one of the most important edm records ever made imo.classic.temple of sound on a friday night.still gives me a rush's listening to it nearly 20 years later.
-
@stephen roche: yeh no matter how many times I listen to it - still everytime the wah-wah acidy 'woh-woh' bit and all the crashes come in I smile :)

- stephen roche on June 26, 2009 23:09
@raytrace: all aboard all board....moo moo....moo moo!!!!
- The Observer on June 29, 2009 15:19
@stephen roche: Heart beat a diversion on the classic "What time is love" from KLF, but quite different and much more Belgian style Good stuff m8
-
@The Observer: yeh it was a bit ridiculous when Kopyright Liberation Front tried to sue Liasons D for using the synth line :s
-
@raytrace: Dr.Felix and Klf are definitely my favorites versions ...
-
@Alkalino: yeh I just love the 'New Beat is boring, acid house is dead, this is trance dance...' bit eheh
-
@raytrace: my favourite overall version is the one on the Doctorin The Tardis 12", or one of the versions on the plain black KLF 12" (I cant remember which one though)
-
@raytrace: although you gotta love the 'with the blessings of the Marquis De Sade' intro eheh

nice little beltram edits.whats the plug on it?

@stephen roche:I just copied the last LFOy noise from Energy Flash and put it under stuff - I turned it up a bit and had reverb going up to maximum by end of samples - also theres one which is slowed down to half speed and then reversed aswell

Cubic 22 - Night In Motion (Battle Plan Remix)
- stephen roche on June 26, 2009 23:16
@raytrace: i do like this version.proper warehouse rave.
-
@stephen roche: yeh I think this song would need some serious lasers, dry-ice and strobes :D - moonflowers lol - the other mix is amazing too - the one with the kinda classical synth bits that sounds like a soundtrack to 'The Terminator' or something...
-
@raytrace: oh man the memories with this one...but i prefer the original one !
-
@Alkalino: yeh I love the normal version too, but I was kinda trying to keep a slightly darker/bassier hypnotic feel and I though the piano/strings bit in that version wouldnt sound as good with the rest of the songs

@phresch: i remember this when turning to the b-side and discovering it for the first time better than the a side!
-
@rayspark-industries: yeh it definitely is, while I do have nostalgia for Fairy Dust, I always preferred this the roundness of the bass and cool rolling breakbeat and claps over the massive round kicks just got me instantly when I put it on and the really strobelighty feel of the acid squelches - great stuff :D

@zander: glad you like it man - yeh so many of the early dance music that I was into come from New Beat (pretty much all the second half of this mix), XL Recordings: The Second Chapter just sounded so amazing when I first heard it back then on cassette :D. Yeh i did have a lot of fun making this and I probably will make a more straight early 4/4 ish hardcore and R&S type stuff mix soon.
-
@raytrace: great stuff! Enjoying your other productions as well i was thinking more r&s when i was listening to this great period of music imo mate :)

this tracks brilliant up to here where the the synths contrasting on opposite bars - but I'd prefer a 'super chorus' with all three elements in there and not as sudden a drop at this point here- purely for mixing purposes only - If I was Djing - the next track would have to be pretty energetic percussively to fill in the gap where this drops -

väldigt bra bygg i hela låten. Undrar hur en vokal skulle låta på detta? har du prövat?
