Today we celebrate the 63rd birthday of one of the most ingenious and influential artists of the late 20th century. Mr. Stevland, Hardaway Judkins a.k.a Stevie Wonder. Defining multi-talent in music field, with a vibrant career that has spanned over fifty years. Stevie’s achievements will without a doubt remain an inspiration for many generations to come.

To celebrate this day, DJ Devastate (Swedish DJ and producer) teams up with Fredrik Segerfalk (Analog Sweden) to offer an interpretation of Stevie’s most iconic song "Superstition”. The original track (released in October 1972) deals with the topic of superstitions and includes one of the most funky clavinet riffs of all time (played on the Hohner Clavinet C).

Devastate & Segerfalk reworks the track into a more moderns, rhythm based, bass-heavy anthem topped with some smooth Rhodes piano. The remix is a tribute to Stevie, reworked with respect, to honour the timeless original. Enjoy Devastate & Segerfalk’s production overhaul (it’s a free download). Cover design by artist Jonas Hilmersson. Happy birthday to you Stevie!
