Meat Katie & Lee Coombs are house hold names when you're talking about Tech-Funk.

From the early days of Breakbeat it was these two alongside other producers such as Dylan Rhymes, Elite Force & PMT e.t.c. who were at the forefront of a more rolling style of breakbeat that could merge comfortably with Techno, Progressive, Tech-house and more recently Electro. This stripped back style of Breaks infiltrated the sets of some of the worlds biggest DJ's from Carl Cox to James Zabeila.

Well it looks like the boys are back with their naughty ways ;-)

On a recent tour of the States, Mark (Meat Katie) & Lee managed to grab some time in Lee's Orlando studio. These are the two cuts the boys came up with.

First off 'Thinking of You' is a true trademarked Tech-funk rolling machine that builds with anticipation. The synth-line brings melody & movement to the track, but it's the atmosphere that really draws you in with its bizarre intensity and then just spits you out on the last drop.

'UP!' is a rough bass lead Electro style groover that has one use, smashing the dance floor to bits! Use this weapon with care!
