I've always been drawn to the weird. There's a slight risk this spills into my tracks.
Picked up an electric bass in 2008. My first musical instrument. (Besides some small fiddling around an organ I had as a kid.) The next step felt like learning how to produce, initially only to make my own beats to play to - but I was hooked.
So I did the conventional search for the dubstep sound which was exploding right at the time (2011). Somewhere around summer 2010 I borrowed my first MIDI-keyboard, and decided I probably should learn to play that too.
And that's pretty much where I am right now. Wanting to master my instruments, even though I came very very late to the party..
I make 99% of all the synthesizers used from scratch, in EVERY track. If I need a generic sound I'm rarely arsed to build that, but rather find some good samplings and build upon that.
