Write up:
This month we are doing our first comp called Nu-BAY$$. This is about the low end and tracks that get the floor moving. We have five new and upcoming producers we have put together who are making the kind ghetto ass bass driven tracks we dig.
Up first is Sepehr who is a bay area up and comer, from the same crew of producers that Ardalan comes from. We have had our eye on him for the last couple of years waiting for him to come through with the right track for the label, and boy did he ever. Apple Bottoms is a slow deep track that is both sexy and ghetto, with a great drop and big thick bass notes that get the subs really working. It has been doing big numbers in the club and is one of the most sought after tunes on the label so far this year. Already being played and by the likes of Von Stroke and plays on the Sound Pellegrino Podcast.
Second up is from the duo Pasteman & Herobot out of the UK. Pasteman has been doing amazing releases on labels such as Sounds of Sumo and Hot N Heavy and has hooked up with new producer Herobot for this one. Together, they bring us Off The Chain a UK 808 bass driven track that kills the floor. When we heard this one on a podcast from Pasteman we went right to him and said we had to have this for Anabatic. It has that ghetto and big bass flavor we love without going to over the top, and nice chill breaks to mellow out the craziness.
Third track is from Kill Frenzy who exploded on to the scene this winter with his track, Booty Clap on dirtybird. For this comp we have Hurt Somebody which works of some big tom drums and straight up funky and twisted vocals. This one will make you work the dance floor and it just might hurt somebody too.
Last up we have a low down and stripped back remix of Worthy's classic tune Work The Walls by Winston Wolfe. When we first heard this, we were amazed at the vibe and groove that Winston Wolfe got on the remix and decided this had to come out as part of this comp . The sound that Winston Wolfe gets are so nice and work so well that you can't help but bounce your head to this one.
Cheers,
Worthy
