Track two from the forthcoming 'repeat to fade ep' due out in July 2010.
This is a punchy bouncy little track with some great beats under the bonnet ...

Amongst The Pigeons
Repeat to fade (EP)
Release Date 12 July 2010

Repeat to fade is the new EP from Amongst The Pigeons, the Brighton based artist who has earned a reputation for darkly melodic beats that have been layered over backgrounds lifted from everyday environments.
The EP follows on from where last year’s Music to brush your teeth to left off. ATPs’ debut album cemented the artists’ reputation for producing ‘the perfect post-party mash up music,’ and was championed on national radio by the likes of Radio One DJs Mary Anne Hobbs and Rob Da Bank.

The six new tracks on Repeat to fade fizzle with Amongst The Pigeons’ signature emotiveness. The lo-fi electronica oozes a raw appeal that has seen the artist gather an underground following of fans from around the world through internet chat-rooms, forums and social networking sites.

Real life again provides a spooky backdrop to the beats on two contrasting tracks. Belfast airport unwittingly provides the perfect soundscape to the mellow opening track Mocha to go, while a recording of drunken teenagers acting up on a Brighton to London train journey provides the foundations for the upbeat and dirty The Kids of Today.
While Frank Turner and Beans on Toast contributed vocals on Music to brush your teeth to, this EP is solely the work of ATP, who has been recording in the studio over the winter months working on material for a new album. Repeat to fade is intended as a bridging link between the two.

ATP will be promoting the new material with a series of ‘Pigeon Party’ shows in Brighton and the southeast.

The EP is released by Marowak Records on 12 July 2010 and will be available through all good digital outlets and local independents.
