About
Peace AND Feathers
Based in Brighton, Amongst the Pigeons isa place inhabited by soaring loops and the beating of electronic wings.
Right from the start ATP has been building a reputation for bringing attention to detail. Both on record, with artwork and at live shows – gigs are marked by such curious sights as dance floors flocked with people wearing pigeon masks...
Jumping out of the bag in 2005, ATP’s debut EP, ‘wings wings: beat’, was soon picked up by Radio One’s Rob Da Bank, developing a fan base that was augmented by 2009’s album, ‘Music to brush your teeth to.’
Featuring special guests, Frank Turner & Beans on Toast, the album was well received by radio and brought DJ slots in Europe and remix work for the likes of Polly Scattergood, Justice Force 5 and The Agitator.
In 2010 there was a new EP - ‘Repeat to fade’, which won a Brighton Music Award for best artwork. Its tracks along with those from the debut album formed the basis of ATP’s live show which got an airing in shows at the Brighton Live Festival and on support slots with artists such as M.E.N and SeeFeel and also The Great Escape Festival.
Plans for the rest of 2011 include the patter of furry feet across the great British countryside, with Secret Garden Party and numerous other summer festival appearances, an Autumn UK tour and accompanying release later in the year.
The next ATP release will be the 2nd album which is already attracting attention via the free demo downloads being made available to fans and DJs on the ATP SoundCloud.
