I just finished listening to DJ ANIMAL’s Mainstream Club Vol. 3 . I was hooked from the first song—a tight remix of Rihanna’s "Rude Boy". The eclectic electro set skillfully transitions from mainstream house tracks such as "Insecurity" into dark break beats with dub step breakdowns. Most impressive to me are out of the 39 tracks listed, 18 of them are created by the local talent of ANIMAL & REL1. My absolute favorite track, is ANIMAL’s "Bad Girls"—talk about a hot summer classic—I bust a move every time I hear it! Kudos to ANIMAL for showing his diverse music ability by writing and producing original tracks, such as "Insecurity", that no doubt are destined for major radio success to dark gritty underground tracks like "Bad Girls".His fluid mixes and fearless cross genre approach keep the listener guessing. ANIMAL offers something literally for every taste in his newest mix.And in the electronic music sea—where more sub genres are born every day—that’s effin brilliant.
