Based in Milwaukee, WI, Amerikas Addiction is a two-member group made up of vocalist/emotionalist, Addiction aka Ebonix, and sound/ambiance producer, J The Truth. Amerikas Addiction operates under Black House Productions and draws influences from the hip-hop, alternative, punk, reggae, dance, and techno music cultures.

The group began as founding members of the notorious, “Black House Gang,” which earned them nominations for, “Best Rap/HipHop Act,” in 2007 and 2010 by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry. As a solo artist, Addiction aka Ebonix was featured in VIBE Magazine as best Wisconsin rapper for the magazine’s publication of “51 Best Myspace Rappers.”

Amerikas Addiction has four official released albums, including "Foreplay", "Dark Desires", "The Enlitened Ones" and "Blame It on the Drugs"

Foreplay is an non-hip hop EP release based off what the duo was exposed to on a regular basis in the media: sex. The album lyrically expresses the sexual thoughts, tensions, and desires of the group. This album was the beginning of Amerikas Addiction and the goal of pushing the artistic envelope on each release.

Dark Desires was featured on the award-winning website, Music in Revolt, in addition to being featured on multiple social networking websites. Since its release on February 14, 2011, Dark Desires has been downloaded world-wide. The album is an 8-tracked EP produced by J-The Truth as a thank-you to their fans for the unconditional support and love. A video was made for one of the album tracks "Climaxxx", which was viewed over 10,000 times in less than 10 days.

Amerikas Addiction’s third album, The Enlitened Ones, was a result of collaboration between the musical duo and Enliten Clothing Company in Oregon. The two teamed up to create a real-talk album to expose the hip hop roots of the musical duo. The album captures the expression of life challenges, sexual tensions, desire, struggle, love and other elements of the hip hop culture.

Amerikas Addiction fourth album "Blame It on the Drugs" has been the most well received from Amerikas Addiction yet. It has been featured on countless blogs and has been downloaded all over the world. The sound of the album is a seamless blend of all of their 3 previous releases and truly defines Amerikas Addiction image and their sound.
