Honeydrum 'Stranger Calls 7'' & 'Do U Party?' EP coming 9th May
limited edition on opaque pink vinyl with cd
The right time had fully come, and we are very keen on to present you with all the joyfull sounds bursting with coconut and ananas smells diffusing behind a dimmed tv screen of forbidden nooks and alleys, that could have existed in plans of Cpt. Hook for his fellow mallrats in the destiny mall called Sunrisepolis.
At the far end of the remaining treasured memories the sun never sets and the band called Honeydrum is playing their refreshing music while the pleasant breeze caress your cheeks. The voice of the singer is heard as if it seeped under your skin, and all of your skin cells sing it out with bronze colored voice, while the gaudy bubble drums hover around the participant of this "sump'n else" party.
The strangers who calls on you are just nothing else but the proper stage set for this thing to happen.
We would like to invite you to listen to the first vinyl release by New Bro'nswick band Honeydrum called 'Stranger Calls' that is accompanied with brand new 'Do U Party?'EP cd, we would like to thanks all the people who helped us make this happen.

...some nice words about Honeydrum:
While trying to piece together some words to describe the music of the New Brunswick, New Jersey “food court-core” pop band Honeydrum, I couldn’t seem to string together anything as oddly poetic as what their current label, AMDISCS, wrote to describe the origins of their sound: “[it rides] under layers of coconut-colored zinc and drift[s] along the bubbly, wet walls of Jerzzy’s (new) hypnogogic sea.” Listen to “Stranger Calls”, the A-side off of their upcoming 7″ release, and you’ll probably get a better idea of what that means. Of course, you can draw a quick and fitting style comparison to the lo-fi catchiness of some of Ariel Pink’s hookiest tunes, but in listening to more of Honeydrum’s music, I think they’re embracing the aesthetics and musical affinities that they share with the L.A. lo-fi pop icon and turning them into something of their own. Check out their enjoyable AM radio styled jingle “Let’s Make A Holiday” and speculate for yourself. JESSE - No Fear Of Pop
