Amber Tennyson was born in Queens, New York, partially raised there and grew up in Atlanta, GA. The grandaughter of notable jazz composer/songwriter Bill Tennyson, Jr. [1923-1959] who in his teens played regularly as a pianist at the original Apollo theatre in Harlem, NY and later became the 1st Composer/Songwriter on Mercury Records; he later created works for artists named Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Mathis, Sarah Vaughan, John Coltrane & many more. Also a granddaughter of an aerospace engineer George Robertson, a managing engineer for Northrop Grumman New York and on the original engineering team for the original Apollo 11 for NASA, first aircraft to land the moon. Amber has studied music, dance, and acting since early childhood. Amber has recently graduated the Film & Video Production program at Musicians Institute Spring of 2009.
