Our capacity to see, know, and understand, comes directly from Mind, one of the synonyms, or names, for God; it doesn't come from the two eyes of the face. Actually, it is Mind, God, that sees, and he sees only good, hence purity of thought, expressed in the last verse. We are one with God (one "I", or self, one God--First Commandment), as we see what He sees, only good. This is not to say that we are always conscious of good in our human experience, for we are on occasion confronted with the negative images of collective human consciousness from which we need to be freed, or purified, to prove and demonstrate "the coincidence of the human with the divine."
God, as Life, never fails in His capacity to see, and He is seeing man as perfect. As we are more conscious of God as Life, thoughts of death, that becloud vision, disappear and we see more clearly. Let us practice this seeing of good! We shall then be enriched with the joy of Soul! "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God," taught Jesus Christ.
